Falling...

It's that time :) Although with Louisiana weather, we don't get much of a 'fall'. We go from having to have the AC on to having to turn the heater on. Haven't had to turn the heater on quite yet, but there have only been a few days where it's been cool enough to turn the air off and open the windows.

But how awesome are those ghost gourds? LOVE EM!

I think this is a great idea, mums in pumpkins. I've never seen this before. I can't wait to go to the pumpkin next week :)

I really hope we get into the new house before Christmas ;) so that I can do this. I may need to get A LOT of pumpkins next week.

13 days and counting

I'm obviously not a good blogger. At all. Because good bloggers, well, they actually BLOG. I know, right? Who-da-thunk-it?!

So updates since last post. We sold our house! YAY!! WOOHOO! We (actually, I did it, because the hubs was at work) closed on it on September 14. I was so happy to have something finally finished. It was a load off of my shoulders. So we could finally close on the new house, the people that we're buying from can close on their new house, they they can move out, we can move in our new house, and my friend can move in her new house (my old house. I know, it's confusing.) things were moving only.

And then it all went to crap. There's a minor problem with the title to the new house (long story, it's not a big deal. There was one signature missing from when it sold last. So they're having to track this person down. And it's not going well.

So as of today, we have 13 days to close on our house, the seller to close on their new house, the seller move out, and us move in. This is not realistic. At all. I'm thankful that we sold our house to my friend, I know she won't kick us out in the cold, but I still want to get out of her house, and get into my new one.

I've told my banker and our real estate agent if they don't hurry up and make this  happen, I'm going to move in with one of them. And they both know that I'm crazy enough to do it, so they're scared ;)

First thing in the morning the banker is supposed to call. So we'll see what he has to say, hopefully we'll be able to close tomorrow afternoon.

About Me

My photo
I have three kids:
Blythe Anne, 8
Jonah, 7
Peyton, 4

My husband and I have been married for 6 years, and I spend my days being a stay at home mom while he's a driller on a land rig. So for six months of the year (he works a week on, a week off), I'm raising these kids by myself. I would write more, but I hear children screaming :)
