Hello again!

I know, it's been a while. Like, a really really long time. Joey came home for a while, and we spent a lot of family time together, and several date nights too. It was awesome, we also got A LOT of home improvement projects done while he was home. As in, things we've been meaning to do since we bought our home. (3 and a half years ago.)

We finally replaced the master bed room ceiling fan, the one that hasn't really worked in over two years. (You can see a picture of the old one here.) The old one on high, was like most fans on low. I know some people hate ceiling fans, but we believe in them here in the south. It's so nice to lay in bed now and to be able to actually be able to feel the fan when it's on now.

We replaced the ugly builder's grade brass light fixture in the hall when the cutest, sweetest, most darling little chandelier you'll ever see. It's completely changed the look of the hall, and I'm loving the light, light grey on the walls even more now. It's came together very nicely.

I then talked Joey into painting the front door and shutters for me. That was one of those projects that we thought would be finished in a few hours and be done with. We were wrooong. Very very wrong. I plan on writing a whole post on that experience at a latter time.

Joey was a happy camper because he bought new power tools, I'm not even going to pretend that I know what they are. But he tells me that they're awesome.

While Joey was home, my laptop finally bit the dust. I just replaced it yesterday, because I couldn't ever make up my mind (I was torn between a Mac or Dell. Went with what I know, and that's Dell.) So now the great fun of transferring files and pictures and music. That's the husband's job there.

And still, no new camera. For the same reason that it took me so long to replace the laptop, I can't ever make my mind up

About Me

My photo
I have three kids:
Blythe Anne, 8
Jonah, 7
Peyton, 4

My husband and I have been married for 6 years, and I spend my days being a stay at home mom while he's a driller on a land rig. So for six months of the year (he works a week on, a week off), I'm raising these kids by myself. I would write more, but I hear children screaming :)
