It's a very dim light. And by dim, I mean, you can KINDA see it, if you squint. And turn your head to the right at a 45 degree angle. And hop on one leg.
Things are moving full force ahead with the house buying and selling. The new house has been appraised, and did well. My current home was supposed to be appraised today... but the guy never showed up, never called anyone to say he was, or to call to say when he is coming. Slightly aggravated about that, but hey, not much I can do. But this guy is slowing up progress.
As of right now, we still have a few weeks before we close. It's roughly set for the 18th for our house and the 19th on the new house. (but if this appraiser doesn't hurry up and show up... anyways) The lady we're buying our new house from has asked for about a week after we close for her to move her things out... so we should be moving around the end of August. And right now that's all I want. All the buying and selling to be over and to be in the new house. Once we've been there a little bit, then we'll start the remodel.
Oh, did I mention that? The house was built in the late 70's... and nothing has been done to it since then. Paneling, blue bath tubs and toilets... oh lord have mercy. It's a lot. I'm trying not to focus on all the work right now (even though I've been pinning away on pintest ideas for things to do to the new house), and just focus on getting in the house.
Oh, and we're going to live in the house while we do all these major remodels.
Yeh. We've lost our minds.
HGTV, DIY, if ya'll are reading this, feel free to offer us a show, I promise this is going to be an entertaining experience.

No end in sight
After finding out that our credit had all types of bull mess on it, we were angry. There have been many phone calls made, and we're now disputing them. But, this takes time. Time that we don't have. We need to have financing worked out for the new house by next Thursday. Or else our contract will be void and the house will go back on the market.
I'm trying to be positive, maybe we'll work this all out some how, or even if it does goes on the market, around here it takes a while for houses to sell.
But I'm also trying to be realistic. The chances of not getting the house are higher than I wish.
I don't do well with waiting. It's eating me up. I just want it to all be over with all ready.

At this rate, we won't have to sell the house...
Our daughter has a goal. A big goal. And she's doing really well to met said big goal.
To burn the house down.
Literally.
And it's happened twice in the past two days.
With three kids running around, our house sometimes gets funky smelling. Especially since we're potty training "The Baby" (um, he's 3, doesn't really count as a baby any more, huh?) So there are lot of smells going on right now, and I've been burning a candle in the kitchen.
Yesterday, she tried to heat up an uncrustable peanut butter and jelly sandwich, on a plastic plate, over the candle.
Seriously.
Then today, she held a rubber band with a clothe pin (I guess so she wouldn't burn her fingers? I don't know), over the flame of the candle.
OMG, the SMELL of a burnt rubber band is awful, people. Like worse smell ever, I couldn't go in the kitchen for several hours because it was so bad.
I don't know what has gotten into her, but I'm sure I'm going to have to check into a mental institution soon.

Really, Check your credit report people.
I'll try to keep this short and sweet.
whyyyyyyyy?!?!?! what did I doooooo??
*complete nervous break down rocking back and forth*
Oh yeh, was going to keep this short. So. There are things that shouldn't be on there. Like one said we haven't been paying. When I called, there response was "oh. You HAVE been paying, huh?"
It took everything in me not to snap. My eye started twitching. I then asked how long it would take to take it off. Oh, 30-60 days.
I don't HAVE 30-60 days.
I called another one, and they couldn't find anything (a supposedly medical bill collection company) in our names. OH REALLY?! Then why in the world is it on my credit?! You're ruining my life!
I may be a little dramatic.
There's a pretty good chance that I won't get this worked out in time. And I won't be getting my big house.
And the first person (actually, they would be the second, my mother in law has already said it) to say "everything happens for a reason..."
Oh, it's gonna be ugly.
- We found a cheap 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom fixer-upper.
- We made an offer on said house.
- We put our current house on the market.
- Our offer on bigger house was accepted (yay!)
- My best friend decided she wanted to buy our house (yay!)
- She made an offer (Yay!)
- We accepted it (well, duh)
- We've been denied financing.
whyyyyyyyy?!?!?! what did I doooooo??

thinking about it
Hi! I know, it's been a while again, I'm bad at this posting on a regular basis stuff. Forgive me.
We've been crazy busy. Joey has been home a lot, so lots for fun little trips here and there, fishing trips, shopping, eye doctor, and Blythe made all stars, so LOTS of ball. Oh, and last week, the older two kids took an art class and LOVED it. They painted some soooo cute little canvases that i can't wait to hang.
Oh, and there's an awesome new fridge, with french doors and freezer on bottom, exactly what I always wanted.
So, anyways, that's what's been going on.
*********
I'm one of those people that can tell you every house on the market in our area. I love me some realtor.com. So easy. Put in the town and state, you can even narrow it down by how many bedrooms and baths you want, and it shows you all the listing in that area from all real estate agents. All in one place.
I've been doing this for.... oh.. I don't know... say... 2 years? But I can't find the house.
But I think we kinda have now :)
I guess we'll see where this goes.
I'm actually loosing sleep over this now, just like when we were trying to buy the house we're currently in.

Wash away
We have a "laundry closet." I dream of a nice huge laundry room some day. But for now I have to work with what I have.
Isn't that just lovely? Gee, I'm loving Pinterest!
I absolutely love my Electrolux washer. It was a big purchase and I did a lot of research before buying it. I recently organized the whole laundry closet during a bowl full of lemons' 21 day organizing challenge. You can see that post here.
The dryer is shoved all the way over so that the drawer on the pedestal can open, and so that the detergent/bleach/softener tray will open all the way. The problem is that when I get the matching dryer, they won't be able to both fit in there and both pedestals be able to open, because of the bi-fold doors. The guy from Lowe's that delivered it suggested putting a curtain up.
I looked at him like he had lost his mind.
But then I found this picture on Pinterest.

watching the grass grow
Well, it wasn't so much "fun" for my husband, after he had to do the work, and he had to fork over the money for it...
But today he fertilized the whole yard for me :) I've been begging him to for weeks now. The grass used to be wonderful here, but last year it wasn't too great, but this year... oh, I just can't stand it. You can't walk across the yard barefooted because of stickers, there are parts where the grass has just decided to not come back at all, and it makes no since what so ever. When I mow, I feel like I'm just mowing dirt, not grass in some spots.
So we loaded up this morning to get the supplies. And oh boy... I didn't realize how much this little project would cost. No more than $150, right?
No, ma'am. Way off.
He had to have a broadcaster to hook up behind the mower. $40 after the gift card we had from the store. I'm not complaining though, because at least he agreed to fertilize the yard.
(In our 7 years of marriage, I've convinced him to fertilize the yard once before. ONCE. At our old house, and he then gave me go-to-you-know-where looks all summer, when he had to mow every 3 days. But now that we have a reliable mower, I've taken over the mowing, so he just fertilized to get me to shut up)
That store was out of fertilizer, I've boycotted the local feed store, so I refused to go there, so that left one option.
Wal Mart.
*shudder*
I picked out a fertilizer that also had bug poison in it too, to kill ants, fleas and ticks. Perfect for the "farm" (ticks are so terrible this year. The dogs keep coming up covered in them, the horse had one in her ear... oh lordy, I'm itching thinking about it.) Joey also decided that I needed a soaker hose and timer for the flower bed. I don't know what bit him and made him decide to do this, but you don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Or a husband that's doing nice things ;) Also got a better, big sprinkler to water in said fertilizer.
I then nearly had a mini heart attack at our total. $350.
OMG!
I change my mind!
I don't need a pretty yard that bad!
I'm working on the Dave Ramsey plan. I'm pretty sure that a pretty yard is not on his list of how to get out of debt.
But... we went on and did it, because I can't have my babies walking through stickers.
Hey, have you ever noticed that kids will run HALF WAY across a two acre yard, THEN realize hey! I just ran the whole way through stickers, and this mess hurts, so I'm gonna stand RIGHT here and scream until some adult comes running, also barefooted, to try to save me, and watch them do the "I have stickers in my feet dance but I have to save this kid."
Kids. They're evil.
So. Now I'm sitting here watching the grass grow. Hopefully going to watching the stickers disappear. And watch the bugs disappear.
How long does this take? How long until I have to start mowing every other day? 'Cause I'm ready!!
